Tally Ho Major Activity Centre

The Tally Ho MAC is located at the intersection of Burwood Highway and Springvale Road Burwood. It includes the Burwood East Reserve, Tally Ho Business Park, the Crossway Baptist Church, the Burvale Hotel and the Global Television Studios (former Channel 10 studios).

This amendment implements the Tally Ho Major Activity Centre Urban Design Framework 2007 and the Tally Ho Urban Design and Landscape Guidelines 2013 by amending the Local Planning Policy Framework at Clauses 21.05, 21.06, 21.07, 22.06 and 22.08 of the Whitehorse Planning Scheme.

The amendment applies a Development Plan Overlay (Schedule 5) to 104-168 Hawthorn Road, Forest Hill and a Design and Development Overlay (Schedule 9) to the land within the Tally Ho Activity Centre.

The amendment was on public exhibition from 13 March 2014 to 14 April 2014. A Planning Panel hearing was held on 12 and 13 August 2014 to consider all the submissions received in response to the exhibition.

Council considered the Planning Panel recommendations at its meeting on 8 December 2014 where it also resolved to adopt the amendment.

The Minister for Planning approved the amendment on 30 September 2015 and it came into effect on 22 October 2015 when the amendment was published in the Victorian Government Gazette.
