Both Amendments C128 and C129 affect nine (9) properties at 28-44 (evens only) William Street, Box Hill.
Amendment C128 – Interim Heritage Overlay
The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C128 which applied heritage controls to the nine properties, forming the William Street Precinct, on an interim basis.
Amendment C129 – Permanent Heritage Overlay
The Minister for Planning authorised Whitehorse City Council to prepare Amendment C129 to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme.
The amendment proposed to apply the Heritage Overlay to the nine properties, forming the William Street Precinct, on a permanent basis and make consequential changes to the Local Planning Policy Framework.
Submission for this amendment closed on Friday 19 November 2010.

Council considered the Panel Report at its meeting on 18 July 2011. Council resolved to adopt the amendment with changes as recommended by the panel. The amendment is currently with the Minister for Planning for approval.
