On 14 October 2014 the new residential zones came into effect in the City of Whitehorse, with the gazettal of Amendment C160 to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme. Amendment C162 came into effect on 24 September 2015 and introduced Design and Development Overlay 4 to 60 Neighbourhood Activity Centres across Whitehorse.
The Minister for Planning approved Council’s proposed residential zones (Amendment C160) with the following changes:
The Minister noted that the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure (DTPLI) raised concerns with the schedules to the Neighbourhood Residential Zone as proposed by Council. The Minister has therefore requested that the Residential Zones Standing Advisory Committee consider the schedules to the Neighbourhood Residential Zone, including ResCode variations, as proposed by Council.
More information about the Residential Zones Standing Advisory Committee can be found at DTPLI’s website at www.dtpli.vic.gov.au/planning/panels-and-committees/current-panels-and-committees/residential-zones-standing-advisory-committee
