Amendment C164 – Introduction of three new permanent heritage overlays
This amendment affects the following properties:
The amendment proposed to apply the Heritage Overlay to the properties on a permanent basis and make consequential changes to the Local Planning Policy Framework. The places had all been investigated as part of Council’s ongoing commitment to heritage and all were found to have important heritage significance. The amendment was initiated to ensure their future protection.
The amendment was on public exhibition until 21 July 2014. After considering all submissions regarding the amendment Council referred them to an independent panel for further consideration. A copy of the panel's report can be viewed below. On 16 March 2015 Council resolved to abandon the amendment.
