Introduction of one new heritage overlay

This amendment proposes to apply a permanent Heritage Overlay to 65 Esdale Street, Nunawading. The proposed heritage place has been investigated as part of Council’s on-going commitment to heritage and was found to have important heritage significance. The amendment has been initiated to ensure its future protection.
The amendment documents are available by clicking the links below. The amendment is on public exhibition between 23 June and 26 July 2016.

Council now invites submissions by any person who may be affected by the Amendment.

The closing date for submissions is Tuesday 26 July 2016. A submission must be sent to:

You may inspect the Amendment free of charge, at the following locations, or via the links below.

  • during office hours, at the office of the planning authority, Whitehorse City Council, 379-397 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading VIC 3131;
  • during opening hours at Whitehorse City Council Service Centres at Forest Hill and Box Hill and libraries in the City of Whitehorse at Blackburn, Box Hill, Nunawading and Vermont South;
  • at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website, www.delwp.vic.gov.au.

Independent Planning Panel dates are required to be pre-set by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. If a panel is required for Amendment C188, the following dates have been pre-set:

  • directions hearing:  week beginning 17 October 2016
  • panel hearing:  week beginning 14 November 2016.

These dates are subject to change.
