Land affected by the Amendment
Amendment C193 to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme was approved on 14 May 2018 and came into effect on 7 June 2018.
The Amendment is required as the existing zoning doesn’t reflect its current residential use, its future development potential, and the land is no longer owned by the Commonwealth. The amendment will ensure any future development is assessed against the most appropriate provisions in the Whitehorse Planning Scheme. The DDO10 will ensure future development respects the existing character of the area and the EAO will ensure potentially contaminated land is identified prior to development occurring.
