Council’s performing arts space – the Whitehorse Centre– showcases some of the best professional theatre from around the country as well as productions by several community and non-professional groups. 
  
Council hosts a number of free annual community events including the Spring Festival, Carols by Candlelight, Australia Day Concert and the Summer Music Series.

The Whitehorse Art Space at the Box Hill Town Hall has one of Australia’s best civic art collections and includes paintings by Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton as well as leading contemporary artists.

The Box Hill Community Art Centre showcases regular exhibitions and runs courses in ceramics, drama, and art and craft.
