Australian Citizenship Ceremonies
Council conducts citizenship ceremonies throughout the year on behalf of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
The Australia Day citizenship ceremony starts at 4.30pm and is held at the Whitehorse Centre, 397 Whitehorse Rd, Nunawading. Ceremonies from February to December start at 7.30pm and are held at the Box Hill Town Hall, 1022 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill.
Council accepts 40 people for the Australia Day ceremony and 120 people for the February to December ceremonies.
Please note that Council does not schedule people for ceremonies and does not handle the application process of becoming an Australian citizen. All queries should be directed to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
