Bin Services and Charges

Who can order a new bin?

Only property owners or managing agents can order or cancel a garbage or green organic bin service. Managing agents are required to attach a Managing Authority form when requesting or cancelling a bin.

Tenants may cancel recycle bins without the consent of the property owner or managing agent. Tenants wishing to cancel a garbage or green organic bin service must contact the landlord, real estate agent or managing agent and ask them to submit a request on their behalf.

Garbage Bin Charges

The first 80 litres of garbage bin capacity is included in the Council rates. Any additional waste capacity to be managed via a larger or additional bin will incur a cost.

Property Bin Limits

GARBAGE BINS
A property can have a maximum of two (2) garbage bins and may not have more than one (1) 80 litre bin in that total.

RECYCLE BINS
A property can have a maximum of two (2) recycling bins.

GARDEN ORGANICS BINS
A property may have a maximum of two (2) garden organic bins.
