The Committee assists Council in enhancing the conservation value of the Antonio Park bushland. Working bees are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month involving planting, weeding and mulching. Other regular activities include an annual summer evening local community barbeque, and National Tree day planting (usually late July) with members of the public, and with students from Antonio Park Primary School, Lions/Rotary clubs and other community groups.
Education and advice on growing Australian native plants, meetings, plant sales, garden visits.
The Committee provides opportunities for residents to become actively involved in the planning, promotion and care of parklands.
Preserving and enhancing the natural environment particularly in the City of Whitehorse. Promote an understanding of indigenous plants and the natural environment. Disseminate environmental information.
Advises Council in the management of bushland parks and liaises with the local community through meetings and working bees.
