Our objective is to stimulate interest in our natural environment and to preserve and protect Australian flora and fauna. We have special interest groups which focus on: Botany, Fauna Survey, Fungi, Geology, Marine Research, Microscopy and Terrestrial Invertebrates and a group for the Juniors. We have meetings and excursions several times a week all year.

The University of Third Age (U3A) is a voluntary community organisation providing low cost learning to retired and semi-retired people. We seek to facilitate the sharing of skills and talents encouraging people to stay active and alert.
