Heatherdale Creek Parklands Advisory Committee

Community volunteers care for and advise on the development, management and maintenance of the 23 ha of diverse parklands. The Masterplan (2004) adopted the over-arching name Heatherdale Creek Parklands (incorporating Simpson Park, Somers Trail, Heatherdale Reserve, The Heatherdale Ponding Basin, Avon Reserve and the Ferris Avenue Drainage Reserve). Participation projects include a focus on remnant bushland revegetation and regeneration to enhance natural habitat. Residents, young and old, students and groups are welcome to volunteer, participate and partner in the protection of open space, natural environment, passive and other benefits of the parklands' community assets.
