Whitehorse City Council

Council Plan 2017-2021

Council adopted its Council Plan 2017-2021 in accordance with Section 125 of the Local Government Act 1989 at its Ordinary Council Meeting on Monday 26 June 2017.

The new Council Plan will guide the work of Council over the next four years to ensure the City of Whitehorse continues to be a healthy, prosperous and sustainable community supported by strong leadership and community partnerships. It will also be an effective working document to achieve the aspirations of the Whitehorse community as set out in the Council Vision 2013-2023.

The Council Plan 2017-2021 was developed through an extensive community engagement campaign, Your Say Whitehorse, which provided Councillors, community and Council staff with an opportunity to provide their input. In total, 1260 people contributed to the consultation process.

As such, the Council Plan reflects the views of key stakeholders and the broader Whitehorse community, and outlines how we will work together to achieve our goals, now and into the long-term future.

The Council Plan also contains the relevant strategies, plans and policies which are externally focused, as well as the services being delivered, to help support the achievement of these goals.
