Deakin University
Deakin is one of Australia's largest universities, providing all the resources of a major university to more than 32,000 students. Yet the campuses are not huge and overbearing. Instead, they are easy to get around and there is a strong community feeling.
The Burwood Campus is Deakin's thriving metropolitan campus, attracting more than 13,000 undergraduate and postgraduate on-campus students. Located alongside Gardiner's Creek parklands in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, the campus is well served by public transport and is about 45 minutes by tram from the city centre.
It offers undergraduates/postgraduate courses in the areas of Arts, Education, Health and Behavioural Sciences, Science and Technology and Business and Law through on or off-campus studies.
