Whitehorse City Council

Digital Transformation Strategy

Council’s digital transformation has begun and is expected to extend up to four years. The Strategy was approved by Council in June 2017.

While our transformation does include all of Council’s websites and social media points, it is more about improving Whitehorse resident’s service experience. This will include offering more online options while improving internal business processes and ensuring all of Council’s digital platforms, programs and systems speak to one another, such as customer service information, resident enquiries, rates and infringement payments and a range of permit applications.
With rates capping many councils are currently conducting similar projects to improve resident service and improve efficiency.

Whitehorse has recruited officers to manage the digital transformation project. Most are temporary roles with a few specialist support roles to continue when the project is complete.
