Council has established different levels of submission requirements based on the size and type of application:
Developments with a total gross floor area between and including 500m2 and 1000m2: or
Alterations and additions of between and including 500m2 and 1000m2.
Residential developments of less than three dwellings and non-residential developments with a total gross floor area of less than 500m2 are encouraged to submit a Sustainable Design Assessment on a voluntary basis.
A Sustainable Design Assessment (SDA) is required for medium developments, comprising of 3 to 9 residential dwellings or 500m2 to 1000m2 of non-residential Gross Floor Area (GFA).
An ESD Management Plan and Green Travel Plan will be required for all larger developments comprising of 10 or more new residential dwellings, or non residential developments of more than 1000m2 Gross Floor Area (including alterations or additions).
