If you are in immediate crisis and need to talk to someone, the following telephone counselling services are available to you.
Kids Help LineService: this is a free confidential telephone counselling service for 5 to 18 year olds.
Phone: 1800 551 800 (free call).
LifeLineService: crisis support and referrals for all ages. Telephone service run by trained volunteers.
Phone: 13 11 14.
Suicide Help Line Service: telephone counselling. Crisis intervention for all ages. Debriefing for friends, family, teachers or carers of crisis victims.

There are also a range of services funded by state and local government that provide low cost and no cost counselling in the Whitehorse area.

Alternatively, if you are a health care card holder you can be refered to a 'bulk billing' counsellor or psychologist by your local GP.
Child Support Agency
Separated parents can seek support from the Child Support Agency (CSA), which is part of the Australian Government Department of Human Services. CSA's role is to support separated parents to transfer payments for the benefit of their children. The agency's aim is to work with all areas of the government, community and private industry service providers to provide the best possible support to their our customers.
