Family Day Care
Council's Family Day Care Program is a quality, home-based childcare service. Accredited carers provide care in their homes for up to four pre-school children. The small group environment allows the carer to spend individual time with each child.
Carers reflect the cultural diversity of the Whitehorse community so that children from non-English speaking backgrounds can be placed with carers who speak the same language.
Council's Children's Services Resource and Development Officers support family day care staff in assisting with the integration of children with disabilities.
Children are encouraged to participate in a range of activities. As part of the overall program, weekly play groups are provided.
Before and after school care, and school holiday care are also available.
