Each year, Council offers a number of grants, scholarships and awards to the community.
Australia Day Civic Awards
The Australia Day Civic Awards are designed to recognise and promote the efforts of people who live or work in the municipality and have made enormous contributions to the Whitehorse community.
Building a Better City Design Awards
The Building a Better City Design Awards aim to reward owners, builders, developers, architects, landscape architects and planning consultants for creating innovative building and landscape design throughout the City of Whitehorse.
Community Grants
Council's community grants program supports projects or activities that meet social, cultural, economic, recreational and development needs of residents.
Whitehorse Scholarship Program
Council’s scholarship program, offers $4500 each year to a first year student from both Box Hill Institute of TAFE and Deakin University in Burwood.
Whitehorse Sports Awards
The Whitehorse Sports Awards acknowledge the hard work and dedication of local athletes, sporting clubs and their volunteers.
Whitehorse Sustainability Awards
The Whitehorse Sustainability Awards reward and recognise local residents, schools, community groups and business for their efforts in building socially connected communities and leading sustainable lifestyles.
Young Person of the Month Award
Council’s Young Person of the Month Award celebrates the efforts and achievements of young people that have shone in fields such as arts, culture, sport, music, learning, music, drama or community participation.
Whitehorse Sport and Recreation Australia Day Trophy
Trophy awarded to sports and recreation clubs as part of Whitehorse Australia Day celebrations.
