Home Maintenance
This service assists older people, people with disabilities and their carers to remain living safely and securely at home.
Council can provide assistance with small and minor household maintenance tasks following an assessment.
The tasks that may be completed are provided to assist residents to continue to live safely in their homes and may include:
- Building wooden ramps to improve access to and from the home
- Installing hand rails
- Installing smoke detectors and changing the battery
- Replacing fly wire and minor door repairs
- Cleaning gutters
- Clearing paths and minor pruning to clear headway on paths and access and entry points to the home
