Whitehorse City Council has set priorities and objectives to guide the organisation over the next four years and beyond as part of its Council Plan 2017-2021.
Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Denise Massoud said Council adopted the Council Plan at its meeting held on Monday 26 June 2017.
“Whitehorse’s Council Plan 2017-2021 will guide what we do for the next four years to ensure our city is – and continues to be – a healthy, prosperous and sustainable community supported by strong leadership and community partnerships. Council is confident the plan will be an effective working document to achieve the aspirations of our community as set out in the Council Vision 2013-2023,” Cr Massoud said.
“The Council Plan, including the Strategic Resource Plan, was developed through an extensive community engagement campaign, Your Say Whitehorse, which provided Councillors, community and staff with an opportunity to provide their input. In total, 1260 people contributed to the consultation process,” Cr Massoud said.
“Our city is continuing to grow and transform. We need a plan that not only meets the needs of our current community but also the needs of future generations. This Council Plan reflects the views of key stakeholders and the broader Whitehorse community, and outlines how we will work together to achieve our goals, now and into the long-term future.”
The Council Plan is available to view at any of Council’s Customer Service Centres and Whitehorse’s library branches, and can be downloaded from the Council website at http://www.whitehorse.vic.gov.au/CouncilPlan.html
