The Metropolitan Transport Forum is holding a public forum on transport issues leading up to the November Victorian state election.
Metropolitan Transport Forum committee member and Whitehorse Councillor Andrew Munroe said the public forum was a chance to hear from political candidates about their plans for transport in the region and to raise concerns or ask questions.
“The forum will be chaired by Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Andrew Davenport and guests will hear from senior politicians including David Davis MLC, Liberal spokesperson for Public Transport and Samantha Dunn MLC, Greens Eastern Metropolitan,” Cr Munroe said.
“Whitehorse residents and those that come to the municipality to attend school, work, sporting and cultural events deserve safe, reliable transport options and effective transport links.
“This forum is a great chance to hear what politicians are offering in the way of transport, to question them and to voice your needs and wants in this area.”
When: Thursday 30 August, 6.30pm-8pm
Where: Box Hill Town Hall, 1022 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill
