August’s Parent Information Forum explores Peer Relationships and Bullying

9 Aug 2018

This month’s Parenting Information Forum will inform and educate parents and carers about peer relationships and bullying in the world of children aged 5-18 years.

Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Andrew Davenport said Support our Children with Peer Relationships and Bullying is presented by Bully Zero Australia Foundation, experts in the field.

“This is an extremely important topic as the quality of peer relationships and the existence of bullying in children’s lives can affect the way they function in many other areas of life – sleep, levels of anxiety, enjoyment of play times, the way they form trusting bonds with others and more,” Cr Davenport said,

Topics covered will include the different types of bullying, as well as empathy, respect, and cyber safety.

Parenting Information Forums run throughout the year and cover a range of topics on raising children 0-18 years.

Where: Whitehorse Centre, 379 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading
