Festive fun for the whole family at Whitehorse Carols 2018

28 Nov 2018

A visit from Santa, free children’s rides, food stalls and lots of Christmas cheer at the annual Whitehorse Carols on Sunday 16 December.

Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Bill Bennett said the annual Whitehorse Carols attracts some of Australia’s best performers, with this year’s headliner Rob Mills.

“As the star of Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease and other hit shows, Rob Mills will delight the audience with a range of wonderful festive carols,” Cr Bennett said.

“Held on the lawns of the Nunawading Civic Precinct, the Whitehorse Carols is a key event on the Whitehorse calendar. It is a time to come together with family and friends, sing along to carols and relax and enjoy the wonderful joyous atmosphere.”

This year’s program includes special performances from Verity Hunt-Ballard, the Australian Girls Choir, The Mik Maks, the Blackburn High School Jazz Orchestra and the Combined Churches of Blackburn North.

There will be the chance to meet Santa and enjoy the free rides from 4.30pm-8.45pm, while visitors can purchase refreshments and an LED candle.

Parking is always limited at the Whitehorse Carols and it is recommended that guests take public transport, cycle or walk.

Accessible parking and an accessible viewing area will be available at the event. The full concert will be AUSLAN interpreted with a dedicated viewing area at stage left, with interpreters also on the big screen throughout.
