Notice to Station Street Underpass Users

3 May 2019

Council has scheduled maintenance works to the Station Street, Box Hill underpass that provides a connection from Bank Street to the Box Hill Mall.

Works will involve improvements to the steps at either end of the underpass, including removal of the existing brickwork pavement and replacement with an asphalt pavement and minor drainage improvements.

Works have been scheduled to commence on Monday 6 May 2019 and are expected to be completed within three weeks – weather permitting.

While works are being undertaken access will still be available via the ramps. Work on the ramps and underpass will occur between 6pm and 6am daily and on weekends (if required). During these times there will be no access available to the underpass and all pedestrians will need to use the pedestrian crossing  at Whitehorse Road and Station Street to get to and from Bank St and the Box Hill Mall. It is proposed  to open the underpass during the day until the next working night commences.

Council has engaged Bluepeak Constructions Pty Ltd to undertake the maintenance works to the underpass.
