Getting your three year old ready for kinder and school

7 Jun 2019

All children aged three and half years are invited to a free consultation with Council’s Maternal and Child Health Service to ensure they are given the best start to kinder and school.

Whitehorse Councillor Sharon Ellis said parents and carers at this check can discuss any concerns they have about their child’s development, physical and emotional health, growth, speech, nutrition, kindergarten information and immunisation.

“The maternal and child health nurse will also perform a vision test. This is a great opportunity to make sure your child is on track to begin kinder and school and to seek any help needed to get your child ready for these milestones,” Cr Ellis said.

To book an appointment with a maternal and child health nurse, parents and carers can contact their local Maternal and Child Health Centre.
