Whitehorse City Council

New Parents Groups

Becoming a parent for the first time is exciting but can also be challenging and sometimes isolating.

Whitehorse Council’s Maternal and Child Health nurses want to ensure first time parents are getting the support they need by facilitating new parent groups.  You will be invited to a new parent group at your first centre appointment.  These groups are held in a relaxed and supportive environment and not only provide an opportunity to gain information and support from a MCH nurse but also to meet other first time parents in your area.   The MCH service also runs specific first time parent groups for Chinese families.

What will be covered?

New parents and babiesSession 1: Getting to know your baby
