    The Amendment proposes to: Rezone the land at 517 and 519 – 521 Station Street, Box Hill from Public Use Zone Schedule 6 (PUZ6) to Mixed Use Zone (MUZ), amending Planning Scheme Map

    No 1. Rezone the land at 2 – 8 Oxford Street, Box Hill from Residential Growth Zone 2 (RGZ2) to Mixed use Zone (MUZ), amending Planning Scheme Map No 1. Amend the Schedule to Clause 52.03 to include the Incorporated Document entitled ‘517 and 519 – 521 Station Street, Box Hill, December 2016’. Amend the Schedule to Clause 81.01 to include the Incorporated Document entitled ‘517 and 519 – 521 Station Street, Box Hill, December 2016’.

    The application is for a permit for building and works for the construction of a building of up to 18 storeys including rooftop plant plus up to three levels of basement car parking, comprising retail premises, office, restricted recreational facility (gymnasium), medical centre, accommodation, serviced apartments, child care facility, a reduction in the standard requirements for car parking facilities and alteration of access to a road in a Road Zone, Category 1.

    The applicant for the permit is Golden Age Station Street Box Hill Development Pty Ltd.

Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the Amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

    Name and contact details of submitters are required for Council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.

    Preparation of Proposed Council Plan 2017 - 2021 and Proposed Budget 2017 / 18

    Notice is hereby given that Whitehorse City Council has prepared a proposed Council Plan for the financial years 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2021 in accordance with Section 125 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act). Council has also prepared a proposed Budget for the financial year 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018 in accordance with Section 127 of the Act.

    The proposed Council Plan and proposed Budget incorporate a proposed four year Strategic Resource Plan 2017-2021 in accordance with Section 126 of the Act.

    Copies of the Council Plan and Budget are available for inspection at the following offices:

    Any person wishing to make a written submission, pursuant to Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989, on the Council Plan and/or Budget must lodge a submission by Sunday 28 May 2017.  Submissions should be addressed to The Chief Executive Officer, Whitehorse City Council, Locked Bag 2, Nunawading DC Vic 3131 in envelopes marked “Council Plan Submission” or “Budget Submission”.

    Submissions may also be emailed to Council.Plan@whitehorse.vic.gov.au in relation to Council Plan submissions or Annual.Budget@whitehorse.vic.gov.au in relation to Budget submissions.  Submitters will be identified in a public report to Council on submissions received on the proposed Council Plan and/or Budget, and this information will become part of the public record.  If you do not wish to be identified, please indicate this in your submission.

    All submissions will be considered, and if required heard at the Special Committee of Council to be held on Tuesday 13 June 2017 commencing at 8pm in the Council Chamber, Whitehorse Civic Centre, 379-397 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading. A person who has lodged a written submission by the required date may request to be heard in support of their submission, or appoint a person to appear on their behalf, before the Special Committee to hear such submissions.  Please indicate in your submission if you wish to speak to your submission or if you wish another person to speak on your behalf.

    Council will meet to consider adopting the proposed Council Plan and proposed Budget at its Ordinary Council meeting to be held on Monday 26 June 2017 commencing at 7pm in the Council Chamber, Whitehorse Civic Centre, 379-397 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading.     The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C181 to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme.
    The amendment comes into operation on the date this notice is published in the Government Gazette.
    The amendment implements recommendations from the City of Whitehorse Significant Tree Study 2016 by inserting Schedule 5 to Clause 42.02 Vegetation Protection Overlay (VPO5) into the Whitehorse Planning Scheme and applying the VPO5 to 27 properties in the municipality.
    A copy of the amendment can be inspected, free of charge, at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website at www.delwp.vic.gov.au/public-inspection and free of charge, during office hours, at the offices of the Whitehorse City Council, 379 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading.

    Notice of Intention to Sell Land

    Whitehorse City Council (Council) gives notice under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) that it intends to sell the land located at 2 Carrington Road, Box Hill; being the whole of the land contained in certificate of title Volume 10089 Folio 896, with an area of 179m2 (Land) and shown as single hatching in the attached plan.

    The proposal is for Council to sell the Land to the adjoining owner of 545-563 Station Street, Box Hill, being Golden Age Box Hill Development Pty Ltd ACN 607 666 188, on the following terms:

    1. a price of $2,068,000 plus GST;
    2. a deposit of 10 per cent, payable on the day of sale; and
    3. payment of the balance of price within 30 days after the day of sale.

    Any person may make a submission on the proposal under Section 223 of the Act. The closing date for submissions is Monday 22 May 2017 at 5pm. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
