University of the Third Age (U3A)
U3A Nunawading is a not-for-profit community organisation run entirely by volunteers with the support of Whitehorse City Council. Members are mature-age retired or semi-retired individuals wishing to pursue areas of personal interest. There are six learning streams:
- Languages
- Computing skills
- Health and fitness
- Arts and crafts
- Humanities
- Science.
There are no academic entry requirements, assessments or formal certification of competency. Learning is undertaken for enjoyment and personal development, as well as for intellectual stimulation. There are numerous social events during the year to enable members to meet in a relaxed and covivial atmosphere.

Whitehorse Arts Association
Whitehorse Arts Association (WAA) offers courses and workshops in fine art. Hobbyists to accomplished artists will find their imaginations challenged as they develop new skills or perfect old ones. The WAA Annual Show exhibits selected art works from members.

- Any media – morning and afternoon sessions

- Pottery and mosaics from 10.30am-1pm
- Life drawing from 1.30pm-4pm
- Any media from 7pm-10pm
Friday
- Pastels, oils and acrylics from 9.30am-12.30pm
- Any media from 12.30pm-3.30pm

Nets Tennis School
Nets Tennis School runs a comprehensive adult and junior coaching program from beginners to advanced with private and group lessons available. All sessions focus on building skills through a series of progressions, encouraging fun, fitness and friendship.
Programs available include:
- Wimbles junior tennis – indoor for 3-5 years old
- Nets tennis school – suitable for 5+ years old
- Adult coaching – groups and private
- Cardio tennis
- Mid-week ladies – coaching and competition
- Mid-week social competition (Monday to Thursday)
- Junior competition and matchplay.
Net Tennis is also availalbe for casual court hire, special Olympics coaching, birthday parties and school holiday programs.
