The Whitehorse Seniors Festival kicks off in late September and continues throughout October, and is packed full of free and low cost events, activities and workshops.
Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Denise Massoud said a range of venues across Whitehorse would host fabulous activities catering for many interest, from things to do with the grandkids, to a chance to try Tai Chi or Pilates.
“This festival runs throughout October and is held in conjunction with the Victorian Seniors Festival. The Whitehorse festival program has been developed specifically for the community’s older people and offers them opportunities to participate in the life of the community, improve their health, well-being and fitness, and enjoy live entertainment,” Cr Massoud said.
“This festival recognises and celebrates the valuable contribution older people have made and continue to make to our community. It is a popular, annual event on the Whitehorse calendar and promotes active living and simply getting out and having fun,” Cr Massoud said.
