A wonderful Reflection at Whitehorse Artspace this month

9 Nov 2017

A spectacular display of original textile artworks goes on show this month at the Whitehorse Artspace.

Whitehorse Councillor Blair Barker said Reflection: Australian Quilts in Public Places exhibited works created by quilters throughout Australia.

“The show represents wide-ranging interpretations on the theme of ‘reflection’, is full of eye-catching colour and imagination and is a display of the brilliant skills that turn textiles into art,” Cr Barker said.

This is the fourth Australian Quilts in Public Places exhibition to be hosted by the City of Whitehorse.

A selection of artists will be available for demonstrations each Saturday during this exhibition.

Refection: Australian Quilts in Public Places runs 16 November-21 December at Artspace, Box Hill Town Hall, 1022 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill.

Free gallery demonstrations will be held every Saturday during Reflection: Australian Quilts in Public Places, and all are welcome to attend to see master quilters at work. Tea and coffee will be available at each workshop. To book your place at a demonstration, phone 9262 6250.
