Open House Melbourne comes to Whitehorse once again on Saturday 28 July, with the magnificent Box Hill Town Hall, historic Schwerkolt Cottage and the glorious Box Hill Community Arts Centre all open to the public from 2pm until 5pm.

Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Andrew Davenport said Open House Melbourne was the one time of the year that Melbourne threw open the doors to more than 200 significant buildings and sites, and Whitehorse was proud to be part of this major Melbourne event.

“This event allows people to learn about how the built environment and urban planning influence our culture and shape our future,” Cr Davenport said.

“Everyone is welcome to explore the buildings that help make Whitehorse a city of wonderful architecture and interiors. Visitors and locals alike will enjoy a great afternoon out at our beautifully maintained buildings full of history.”

Visit one or two sites or take the free bus that will leave at 2.30pm from Schwerkolt Cottage, then to Box Hill Town Hall and Box Hill Community Arts Centre. The bus will return to  Schwerkolt Cottage at 5pm. Limited seats are available. Bookings: 9262 6352.
