Sportsfield Use for Sporting Activities

Whitehorse has a large number of sporting ovals and facilities that are seasonally allocated to organised sporting groups and clubs. However, there is also a large demand for parks and reserves to be available for casual sporting activities.

These facilities will require a casual booking, depending on the size and likely impact on organised sporting events.

If you are conducting an organised sporting activity please read the guidelines and complete the following application form: pdf icon  WCC Application for Casual Use of Sportsfields for Sport (383.93kB)

If you are unsure if your activity requires a casual booking contact the Arts and Recreation Development Administration Officers on 9262 6371.

If you wish to hold a larger sporting event within a sports field precinct requiring fixed structures, please complete the event permit application form for High Impact Park Events via this link.

Paying a Bond

The parks and reserves of Whitehorse are community assets. The staging of events and access to parks can lead to damage to these assets.

A bond amount of $300 will be payable for the casual use of sports fields. The payment of the bond is required one week prior to the date of activity.

Usage Fees
