It is recommended that you submit plans as part of the Application for Pre-Registration. This will assist in approving your registration efficiently by ensuring that the premises comply with relevant standards and minimise the risk of having to undertake costly remedial work. The service also incorporates the costs associated with onsite progress and final inspections.
To obtain a Pre-registration Application for plans, contact the Environmental Health Unit on 9262 6197 or email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org together with a copy of your town planning and building documentation.
If you have lodged plans, you are entitled to progress inspections during construction.
Where plans have been submitted, during construction, contact the Environmental Health Unit to organise a progress inspection. This inspection assesses compliance with the requirements of the Food Act and Food Standards Code.
