Talking Rubbish Competition

Whitehorse City Council congratulates all those members of the Whitehorse community who entered the 2013 “Talking Rubbish” competition.

Whitehorse residents embraced the competition and were very creative in telling their stories about how they reduce their household waste. More than 250 entries were received across the competition categories of film, creative writing, and art and design.

At a special awards presentation held on 13 November as part of National Recycling Week, competition entrants were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts in helping to spread the important message of reducing the waste that ends up as landfill.
