Trees of Significance

There are specific trees on private property throughout the municipality that have been individually selected and listed in the City of Whitehorse Statements of Trees of Significance. If you have a tree of significance on our property, this tree will a planning permit to remove, destroy or lop a protected tree in these areas. They are protected by a  Vegetation Protection Overlays which apply to trees recognised as possessing special qualities. These tree are listed across the documents below:
