Active Ageing through Gardening (part of Whitehorse Seniors Festival)

This workshop will be presented by Richard Rowe from Sustainable Gardening Australia. The presentation will give participants strategies on how to garden as their body ages. Topics covered include: Health benefits of gardening, garden design for active ageing, containers and patio gardens, plant choice for low maintenance, managing gardens in hard times (weather, health), gardening safely and community resources.

Nature play outdoors is a healthy and great way to learn about nature. Preschoolers are invited to explore the colours of nature. What are the different colours we can find? What makes these colours and can we match them?

Remember to wear suitable footwear (enclosed shoes) and bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Toilet facilities are not available at this site.
