Our Council meetings currently remain open to the public via Live Stream only, please do not attend in person. Meetings can be viewed via Council’s live stream platform.

People should register a Public Presentation submission on any matter they would like to present to Council using the online submission registration form.

Submission Registration

Members of the public are invited to register a submission on any issue or matter that they would like to present to Council, provided it does not contravene Council's Governance Rules ( PDF 280.28KB).

The Council Meeting is held on the second and fourth Monday* of each month at 7.00pm in the Council Chamber and provides for public participation. By registering and completing the online public submission form it will be received and read out during the meeting.

* With the exception of January, June and December and where Monday falls on a public holiday the meeting will move to the Tuesday immediately following. The Council Meeting is held on the  fourth week in January, second week in June and December. 

Guidelines for Public Presentation Submission

  • An online registration form must be completed and submitted no later than 12 noon on the day of the Council Meeting. 
  • A maximum 10 submissions are permitted at any meeting.
  • No more than three persons may speak on the same subject matter at any one meeting.
  • Registration is determined in order of receipt*
  • Each submission is allocated a 3 minute time slot
  • During our altered meeting arrangements due to the COVID pandemic, the submission will be read out by a member of Council staff at the meeting.

*Please note that Chairperson retains the right to vary the order, or allow additional speakers on any item up to a maximum of 10, where deemed appropriate.

Public Presentation Submissions Types

Land Use Planning Matters

  • A person registering a submission on a land use planning matter must indicate whether they are submitting in support or opposition to the planning permit Application or Planning Scheme Amendment.
  • Online submission must be received by 12 noon on the day of the meeting.

Other Matters

  • Online submission must be received by 12 noon on the day of the meeting.
