Adopted Budget 2023/2024

Council approved the Budget 2023/2024 ( PDF 5.22MB) at its Council meeting on Monday 26 June 2023. 

This budget is balanced and demonstrate Council’s commitment to financial sustainability and transformation, while meeting the changing needs and aspirations of our community. This includes delivering new budget initiatives, keeping rates low and capped at a 3.5% increase, and keeping our community clean, healthy, engaged and connected.  

Key highlights for 2023/24 include: 

  • $174 million for the continued delivery of a wide range of services to the community including $15.5 million for Leisure and Recreation Services, $15.7 million for Parks and Natural Environment, $11.9 million for Health and Family Services, $11 million for City Services and $9.5m for Community Safety. 
  • $50 million Capital Works Program including $20.9 million for Land, Buildings and Building Improvements; $6.4 million for Roads, Bridges and Off Street Car Parks; $5.8 million for Recreational, Leisure and Community Facilities and $4.5 million for Footpaths and Cycleways.
