Melbourne East Disability Advoacacy (MEDA) provides individual and citizen advocacy alongside people with intellectual disabilities in Whitehorse, Monash, Manningham, Boroondara and Maroondah.

Individual Advocacy Program:
Individual Advocacy is when a person with disability is supported by an advocate to take action on issues of discrimination, abuse or concern. This can be:
- providing information and advice so that the person with disability can advocate for themselves.
- supporting the person with disability to take action on any matter related to discrimination.

Volunteer Citizen Advocacy Program:
One to one partnerships are formed between people with intellectual disabilities and volunteer citizen advocates. Volunteer Citizen advocates promote and safeguard the rights of their Citizen Advocate partner.
