What’s happening in Whitehorse?
Whitehorse Council is a member of the Forest Hill Dementia Friendly Community partnership group. The partnership group aims to create Forest Hill as a place where people living with dementia, and their family and friends, feel supported to participate in their community. The partnership group uses a “co-design” approach and is made up of community members and organisations: Inner East Primary Care Partnership, Carrington Health, Uniting and Villa Maria Catholic Homes.
The partnership group works with local businesses to create ‘any-time’ dementia-friendly cafés, where people living with dementia and their family and friends feel welcome all the time.
