It covers a wide range of topics from low waste living, thrifty gardening to improving the energy efficiency of your home, connecting with nature and more.

Do you have a weed in your garden? Bring it to be identified and swap it for an indigenous plant.

Understanding Human Behaviour to Influence Community Change

Are you passionate about sustainability and keen to find out more about how to motivate and create change in your community? Then this workshop is for you.

Sustainability Victoria and Behaviour Works Australia are partnering with Whitehorse City Council to offer a free workshop to help volunteer and community groups understand the role human behaviour can play in driving successful outcomes for your sustainability projects.

This workshop is free, but numbers will be strictly limited. If you are interested in participating, we ask that you submit an expression of interest by 23 April

Do you have broken items sitting around your house that, with a simple repair, would be given a new lease of life? Bring them to the healthAbility Repair Cafe Whitehorse! Second Saturday of each month (except January).

Industry professionals will present a selection of projects at the Built Environment Showcase Event.

Beautifying Nature Strips in Whitehorse

Imagine your nature strip being full of indigenous and native plants being habitat-rich and biodiverse and transforming the look of our streetscapes - from a space of weeds and grass to a place of beauty supporting biodiversity.

Create your own habitat area to attract bees, butterflies, and insects. Learn about site prep, typical planting species, maintenance and how to obtain a permit.
