Join Helen from Friends with Honey for a two part workshop. This includes an hour presentation and an hour opportunity to head out and participate in a BioBlitz with our iNaturalist experts to help you with any questions that might arise.
We'll cover:
- Citizen Science and its significance in understanding and protecting biodiversity
- How individuals like you can make a real impact through participation in scientific research
- Using iNaturalist - one of the world's most popular Citizen Science Apps
- How to make great observations with all the details needed for species identification
- How to participate in a BioBlitz - or even organise your own!
This event is facilitated by Whitehorse City Council, for the City Nature Challenge, an event to gather observation data about the species inhabiting our natural world. This is your chance to learn about all the plants and animals that live in our Whitehorse parks and reserves!
