Our urban forest at a glance

Whitehorse’s urban forest is one of our city’s greatest living assets, providing shade on hot days, supporting biodiversity, improving air quality and creating greener, healthier neighbourhoods for our community.

In 2023, our canopy cover reached 25.8%, bringing us closer to our target of 30% by 2050.

The information below provides a snapshot of how our urban forest is growing, evolving and being cared for, ensuring it continues to thrive for generations to come.
