Susan’s second chance at her fur-ever home

Susan was found sleeping in a resident’s backyard in Whitehorse. Council worked with the resident to safely contain Susan and try to locate her owner. Sadly, Susan’s registration details were not up to date, and no matching lost pet reports were found, making it impossible to reunite her with her original family.

But Susan’s story didn’t end there. She was transferred to Animal Aid, where she quickly charmed staff with her gentle nature. Before long, Susan found her forever home with Shay and has since embraced her new life as a full-time diva, living her very best life.

Susan’s journey is a gentle reminder of how important it is to keep pet registration details up to date. It can make all the difference in helping lost pets find their way home.

If you have a dog or cat at home, pet registration renewals are due on Friday 10 April. Keeping your pet’s registration and contact details up to date is a simple step that makes a big difference, helping ensure more pets find their way home.
