About this event

  • 2 hours

Join Tony Slater, the author of The Guide to the Eucalypts of Whitehorse and Surrounds to undertake a biodiversity blitz (BioBlitz) of all the amazing flora and fauna of Bellbird Dell.

This is your chance to learn about all the fascinating hidden flora and fauna in our Whitehorse parks and reserves, and participate in the City Nature Challenge, an event to gather observation data about the species inhabiting our natural world, that contributes to conservation efforts made by Whitehorse City Council.

Download the iNaturalist app and then search for plants and animals. Not an expert on plants and animals? Great! This is your chance to learn something new and exciting. iNaturalist has the ability to suggest species for you, so you don't need to worry about not being an expert! You can use the app at any time too, no need to wait for an event.

We will be meeting at the George Road Playground South.
