Garden Organics Service
Council has an optional, user-pays fortnightly garden organics service that collects garden waste. Leaves, weeds, small garden prunings, grass clippings, flowers and small branches can be recycled in the garden organics bin. Residents must register for this service that is subject to a one-off registration fee ($68.00 inc. GST as at July 2011) and annual service fee of $80.00.

The fortnightly garden organics service operates on the same day as the garbage bin collection and on alternate weeks to the recycling bin service.
To find out rubbish and recycling dates, use Council's Whitehorse Mapping – GIS Online facility. Accept the terms and conditions of use, then enter your address to find out collection days for your area.

Recycling and Garden Organics Collection Map (536.72kB). Please note, these dates are also listed in Council's 2012 calendar, which was delivered to households at the beginning of the year.
