Cr Prue Cutts

Cr Cutts is an active community member and absolutely loves her role as Whitehorse Councillor. This is Cr Cutts second term as a Councillor and she is the immediate past Deputy Mayor (2022/23).

Cr Cutts is an Ambassador of the Mental Health Foundation of Australia. She is also a member of the Whitehorse Historical Society, the Rotary Club of Mitcham, the ‘Women in Rotary’ International Women’s Day committee, and Nadrasca’s Quality Governance committee. She is a past board member of the Box Hill North based Berengarra School for secondary students with social and emotional issues, and was a member and the former Chair of the Heatherdale Creek Parkland Advisory Committee.

Cr Cutts holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Psychology) degree, Diploma of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development. She has worked concurrently as a psychologist and teacher for nearly 20 years and is currently a registered teacher. 

Her areas of interest include sustainability, sport and recreation, mental health, youth engagement, equality and inclusion, and heritage. She is passionate about making Whitehorse as liveable as possible.

She advocated strongly for both the Walker Park and Heatherdale Reserve pavilion redevelopments, and upgrades to the Vermont Recreation Reserve, and was involved in the open space developments at 21 Wattle Valley Road in Mitcham and the Mountain Bike Skills Track in Heatherdale. 

At the heart of all she does, is her deep and genuine connection to community. She listens to residents concerns, needs and aspirations, acts on these wishes, advocates, and gets things done! Please reach out to her about any issue.
