Cr Raylene Carr

Cr Carr was re-elected in October 2020 for her fourth term. She has lived in Vermont South for decades and is happily married with two adult children.

Cr Carr is committed to balanced decision making; remaining approachable and representing residents with honesty while working to solve problems and achieve results. Her short-term passion will be business recovery however her future holds an interest in responsible animal management, public libraries, the purchase of public open space and value for rates. Cr Carr is committed to aged and disability services, common-sense traffic management, shared bicycle off-road paths and campaigning hard against inappropriate development. 

Qualifications include a Diploma of Business and being a government accredited dog training instructor. Cr Carr recognises the vital contribution of volunteers and has herself, volunteered as a dog trainer for over 20 years. Her hobbies include dog training and photography. 

Cr Carr is a great advocate for the community and is a firm believer in a ‘fair go’ for all.
