Rocket ELC Children Care for Their Local Park

Children from Rocket Early Learning Centre in Box Hill recently took part in a planting activity at Halligan Reserve, a local park they regularly visit for Nature Play sessions.

By helping to plant and care for the reserve, the children have developed a strong connection to this special outdoor space. During later visits, they have noticed litter in the park and were keen to make sure it was picked up, showing a wonderful sense of responsibility and care for their local environment.

The planting experience has helped foster environmental stewardship from a young age, with children learning that everyone can play a role in keeping community spaces healthy, welcoming and enjoyable for both people and wildlife.
